2. Do I need to purchase IP2Location Application?No. IP2Location Application is absolutely free software for all users. However, you need to subscribe to the IP2Location database for the latest and complete lookup database. The subscription is available in different packages by geographical information.

3. Do I need to install or import your data into my database server?No. Tere is no need for any importing of data to database, or execution of SQL scripts. All our data is being stored in a single data file to ease distribution. Upgrade process is as simple as downloading the data package and replace it on the local machine.

4. Why are database updates needed periodically?Ownership of IP address blocks change hands occasionally. Updating the database ensures the database is as accurate as possible.

5. What is the level of accuracy?The database has over 99% accuracy at the country and ISP level. 75% at the region level and 80% at the city level. Levels of inaccuracy are due to the flexibility given to each ISP to re-assign dynamic IP addresses within their service area.
